Uniform shows that you are part of an institute. Wearing it says we are all in this together.
School uniform teaches students to dress smartly and take pride in their appearance. It improves their learning by reducing distraction and sharpening focus on schoolwork making the classroom a more serious environment. It instils pride, unity, tam mentality and school vanity.
It creates an environment where discipline is emphasised. Meeting a school uniform code requires a certain level of discipline from the students. It also requires parental discipline to ensure their child is meeting expectations. When discipline is practiced, it can be applied to other aspects of life. Children in school uniforms may find it easier to stay focused on their students.
